No-Bake Macaroni & Cheese

| Whole-wheat macaroni | 8 ounces |
| Frozen, chopped broccoli | 10 ounces |
| Low-fat milk | ¾ cups |
| Flour | 3 tablespoons |
| Garlic powder | ½ tablespoon |
| Salt | ½ tablespoon |
| Ground white pepper | ¼ tablespoon |
| Shredded cheddar cheese | ¾ cup |
| Shredded parmesan cheese | ¼ cup |
| Dijon mustard | 1 teaspoon |
Methods
- Boil a large pot of water before putting in the pasta for 4 minutes. Add the frozen chopped broccoli and continue to stir for 4 to 5 more minutes until the pasta and broccoli are tender enough.
- At the same time, heat 1 and a ½ cups of milk in a separate pot over medium-high heat until it starts to simmer. Whisk the ¼ cup of milk, pepper, salt, garlic powder and flour. Add the mixture to the pot of simmering milk and whisk it constantly for about 2 to 3 minutes. Thereafter, turn off the heat and whisk in mustard, cheddar and parmesan until the cheese melts.
- Lastly, add the pasta and broccoli into the cheese sauce and stir the final mixture over medium-low heat for about 1 minute.
